Hello Members,
It has been quite an unpredictable winter so far, with late snow coverage and a slow buildup of ice, varying in depth from green to green.
Throughout the season, we have been regularly inspecting the greens, and in week 5, I decided to remove snow from some to prevent further ice formation due to the predicted warm weather. I am confident this was the right decision, as the ice was starting to build up. However, the forest greens, including the 3rd and 8th, were left untouched, as their thicker snow cover provided better protection against the unstable weather conditions that were forecasted.
These greens have been monitored closely, and it will soon be time to remove the snow from them.
Overall, I am pleased with the winter conditions so far, and the greens that were cleared have remained in very healthy condition.
Best regards,
